The Wedge document was designed to create a revival of religion and yet another reformation of society.
It must have been quite an embarassment to them when the transformation of creationists into
cdesign proponentsists was made public.

As far as I can tell, the argument is that the fact that we are alive is evidence that the universe in general and our solar system in particular was designed and created by an "intellignet designer", aka God.
And here is the incontroversible logic - according to Baumgardner: If the universe and everything else had been just a teeny-weeny bit different, we wouldn't be here!

This subject is of some interest due to the arguments from Young Earth Creationists thewy never give up, unless the get a job in the oil industry - then they soon enough discover how YEC'ism won't find them any oil worth drilling into...
